Praying with art:
You can meditate on a painting or picture it may be a religious painting, but it doesn't need to be, it can be of a person you love or a beautiful landscape. It is a good way to focus your thoughts and clear your mind of other distractions.
You can also create your own piece of art as elaborate or simple as you like. Talk to God while you are creating! Watch this You Tube video for some ideas on creating your own prayer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfPFQVtl1yU
An Easy Way To Get Prayer Into Your Child's Life
We teach our kids to sing Happy Birthday twice when they wash their hands to help them know how long to wash. How about having them say the Hail Mary or the Our Father instead? It's about the same amount of time, they will learn their prayers and get in some prayer time multiple times each day! (and yes, I did time it out:))
Pray For Someone or Something
Oftentimes it is easier to pray for someone or something. Choose something or someone important to you in need of prayers. It can be a relative or friend who is sick or going through a hard time in their lives or perhaps someone you do not know, but you know they need prayers, victims of violence, or hunger etc. or maybe for our world that suffers from pollution. Whatever is important to you, put a note in a prominent place to remind you to pray each day.
from pollution.
